Completed backyard grading and slope-stabilization project

Residential grading and slope stabilization

Grading & Slope Stabilization

Reshape problem ground, slow down runoff, and keep the finished slope from washing out again.

The job

New grade must survive new runoff.

A few inches of grade can change where water collects, how steps meet a patio, and what reaches the next property.

We shape the ground, provide a controlled water path, and protect the new surface so the next hard rain does not undo the work.

Is this the right scope?

Start here if any of this sounds familiar.

These are the conditions that usually turn a simple-looking request into a property-level planning job.

  • A slope is rilling, sliding or losing soil
  • The yard needs better transitions for a patio or pool
  • Water accelerates down a bare or concentrated path
  • Past grading created low spots or redirected runoff
  • You need a coordinated plan for cut, fill and stabilization

Scope

What the work can include.

Target grading and elevation planning

Cut, fill and surface shaping

Drainage features tied to the new grade

Surface stabilization and restoration in the agreed scope

Before we price it

We need to see the site, not just a picture of the finish.

Earthwork depends on weather. We limit how long soil stays exposed and stabilize the finished grade as the work wraps up.

  1. 01Existing contours and slope breaks
  2. 02Erosion severity and likely water source
  3. 03Soil cover, vegetation and exposed areas
  4. 04Where proposed grades meet structures and property edges

From idea to finished yard

One accountable process.

01

Walk the yard

Chris checks access, slope, drainage, utilities, and how the new space should meet the house.

02

Work out the whole plan

The pool, deck, walls, drainage, and outdoor features are settled before the digging starts.

03

Build it

One team carries the job from excavation through the final walkthrough, with Chris involved along the way.

Questions

Before you move forward.

Can you make a sloped yard completely flat?+

Sometimes partial usable terraces are more practical than flattening the entire property. Retaining, drainage, access and property limits shape the answer.

What stabilizes a finished slope?+

The method depends on steepness, runoff and soil. It may involve vegetation, erosion-control products, stone or structural measures.

Will grading affect my neighbor?+

The plan should account for property boundaries and avoid creating an uncontrolled discharge toward neighboring land.
