What a Roswell backyard can look like.

What his customers say about jobs like these

Tore out and rebuilt a neighborhood pool deck, with new drains and coping

“The original pool was built 11 years ago using a single layer of concrete. Improper drain lines and 11 years of ground movement left quite a disaster of cracked and crumbling surface area. … United Poolscapes negotiated with us on a fair price for the complete demo and rebuilding of all of the concrete, including the design of a new draining system and a proper coping design.”
Bryan G. · Google review, May 2025

Replaced pool pavers, regrouted the coping, fixed drainage, put in turf and replaced the pool heater

“Chris was helpful with picking out our pool pavers and turf and made thoughtful design and function suggestions. We had a water drainage issue in our backyard, which he also fixed.”
Tammy K. · Google review, September 2025

Working in Roswell

Christian designs each pool for the yard it goes in.

Many Roswell yards are established, with mature trees, older pools and existing patios. Christian looks at what can be kept before anything is torn out.

At the free site visit Christian walks the yard with you. He checks how the digging equipment will get into the backyard, how the yard slopes and where rainwater goes. Then he talks through the size, shape and depth of the pool, the deck, and anything else you want with it, like a spa, a fire pit or an outdoor kitchen.

His own crew builds the pool and the work around it: the deck and coping, retaining walls, drainage, and any spa, fire pit or kitchen in the plan. Customers mention the crew cleaning up at the end of each day, and Christian coming back to fix small issues years after the job.

    Near the Chattahoochee

Within 2,000 feet of the river, the plan needs a corridor certificate, and nothing hard can be built within 150 feet of the water.

10 feet for the water, 5 for the deck

The pool’s water stays 10 feet from the side and rear lines and the deck 5 feet, and never in the front yard.

Tree permits start at 3 inches

Removing a tree 3 inches across or more needs a permit. On lots under an acre only specimen trees are protected, but you still apply.

At the site visit

What Christian checks on Roswell properties.

When the finish, coping, deck and drainage are done together, the pool looks rebuilt instead of patched.

01

Find the cause first

Cracked decks, sinking and standing water point to problems a new surface alone will not fix.

02

Old and new together

New coping, decking and steps are chosen to work with the house and with what stays.

03

Access

Fences, trees and side yards decide how the crew tears out and rebuilds.

Questions

Questions about new pools in Roswell.

Do I need a permit for a pool in Roswell?+

Yes. The City of Roswell’s Building Division issues pool permits through its online Permitting & Licensing HUB, and every pool also needs a Minor Land Disturbance Permit.

How close to the property line can a pool be in Roswell?+

The water has to be 10 feet from the side and rear lines and the decking 5 feet. A pool can’t go in the required front yard, and the pump and filter can sit 3 feet from a lot line.

My house is in Roswell’s Historic District. Can I add a pool?+

You need a Certificate of Appropriateness first. Pools aren’t on the list city staff can approve, so the Historic Preservation Commission reviews them, along with any grading or tree removal.

What changes if I live near the Chattahoochee?+

Within 2,000 feet of the river you apply to Roswell Planning & Zoning, the Atlanta Regional Commission reviews the clearing and paved area, and the city issues a certificate. Nothing hard can be built within 150 feet of the river.

Is the site visit free?+

Yes. Christian comes out, walks the yard with you and talks through ideas at no charge.

Do you build the deck, walls and drainage too?+

Yes. The same crew builds the pool deck, retaining walls and drainage, and can add a spa, fire pit or outdoor kitchen.

How do I get a price?+

Book a site visit or call. Christian prices the pool after he has seen the yard, because the slope, the access and what goes around the pool change the cost.

Can you help me pick materials?+

Yes. Christian brings samples and helps you choose the tile, coping and decking.
